Paul Collins
Paul has enjoyed drawing and painting from a very young age, from as long as he can remember. It was very easy to think of something for a birthday or Christmas present, paints, brushes, books and art materials, it still applies today.
After completing an electrical apprenticeship he spent two years in the drawing office where he developed his technical drawing skills.
Then he got the travel bug and joined the Merchant Navy with P&O Cruises and enjoyed traveling the world, broadening his appreciation of culture and of course art. Buying books and materials from places very different to those found at home.
He would draw and paint as a form of relaxation and a change from the busy life on-board as an officer.
Upon leaving the sea to marry and have a family, he diversified into sales and marketing, following a long career with a major telecoms company he founded and ran a multimedia business.
Following which he developed a business consultancy, it was during this period he found himself involved with artists and in doing so found his own renewed passion for art.
It subsequently became obvious to found New-Art-Collective.com and here we are.
